Federal Study Finds Accord on Warming – New York Times
Friday, May 5th, 2006This is the second time that the Bush administration’s efforts to undermine belief in climate change have backfired. The first was right after Bush took office when he asked the National Academy of Sciences to review the literature on climate change and the report came back stating that climate change was real and that it appeared that human activity was a significant contributor.
In today’s news, the report is back from the more recent commission charged by the Bushies with investigating climate change. According to the New York Times,
The study said that the only factor that could explain the measured warming of Earth’s average temperature over the last 50 years was the buildup heat-trapping gases, which are mainly emitted by burning coal and oil.
